What type of support is available?
The support on offer through the Northern Innovation Hub is diverse, yet linked by the umbrella themes of Young People, Growth, and Sectors and Place.
Support is available to businesses working across Life Sciences, Tourism, Food and Drink and the Creative Industries. A separate programme, Young People & Technology, is available to businesses in all sectors.
By providing targeted support to businesses, we will stimulate economic growth - which will benefit a wide range of individuals and companies across the region.
Sectors and Place
Support is particularly available to businesses working across Life Sciences, Tourism, Food and Drink and the Creative Industries. We know that the Highland Region has advantages in these areas, which means that our programmes of support will have a far-reaching impact.
What are the ambitions of the Northern Innovation Hub?
It’s all about sustainable growth: through jobs, planning for the future, innovation and attracting inward investment. Northern Innovation Hub aims to ensure that higher-skilled and better-paid jobs are created, and that young people will wish to enter or remain in the area. The project will help businesses increase their competitiveness and boost productivity, driving innovation through better networking at both national and international levels. And last - but not least - Northern Innovation Hub will help the Highlands become more connected and outward facing, showcasing its unique offering and world-class sectors.
